Physical Therapy

Physical therapy evaluations begin with a 1-hour detailed and thorough physical therapy examination of the following that may be contributing to your pain, injury or limitation in function:

past medical / injury history, posture, gait, balance and/or other functional tests, range of motion, strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue mobility, neurological tests/measures as deemed appropriate, patient-specific functional goals.

The results of the examination and evaluation will identify what we need to work on in a co-created plan of care to reach your treatment goals.

Treatments are 45-minute one-on-one sessions and include any combination of: manual therapy techniques (osteopathic joint mobilization techniques, soft tissue mobilization including acupressure/trigger point release, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, active release technique), neuromuscular re-education (hands-on and imagery assisted motor control retraining), therapeutic exercises (stretches, strengthening, stabilization) and modalities (taping techniques, ice, heat) to target areas that need attention in order to restore homeostasis and optimize function.

Physical therapy services are reimbursable by insurance policies with out-of-network benefits.
